I have a 2017 Sportsman 1000 & am sick of the 82mph speed limiter. I see RVS deletes the speed limiter & before I drop the money for a programmer I was wondering if any of you have one already & what kind of top speed you are getting... I am planning on the intake & exhaust mod along with the RVS 92 octane tune... The 82mph speed limiter is BS!.. I bought a 1000 to use it to it's full potential, not be limited... Thank you all in advance!..

I have a Highlifter so my top speed is limited due to my gear reduction BUT the power increases from the flash were absolutely insane! I used to hit my rev limiter around 50 mph and now im not sure because i end up letting off of it before i hit the new limiter. I have a UNI air filter and RJWC exhaust.

You will not be dissapointed

I have a 2017 XP 1000 with the RVS reflash, stock clutching, stock tires. I seen 90 MPH last weekend on a asphalt road. I don't believe there was anything left in it.

I do my best to keep the Scrambler on dirt surfaces. In doing so, I rarely see anything above 50-60mph.
I'd go with the flash just for the additional power as the fastest I think I've ever had mine was around 72.
Everyone has their thing, mine is going as fast as I can through trails and getting out of the hole quick.
If I wanted top speed, I'd hop on a BMW 1000rr, something made for those speeds.
Having said all that, I have heard tremendous reviews of the RVS flash.

A-mutha-fluckin-MEN!!!!!!!!! Early on I had my 800 up in the low 70s GPS verified. It was a unsettling feeling. One guy descried it like "controlling the float", SOOOOOOOOO true!!!

That's exactly what it was....floating back and forth. I have always had pretty fast atvs but that was a whole new experience. Yea Im good on that from now on lol. Im satisfied how good I got the 800 going though shes rips for what it is.

You guys need to make sure the insurance premiums are paid up before you start tuning for more speed. (y) .

Nope it wasnt but I can tell you its a pretty overlooked machine. With a few simple mods its pretty quick especially out of the hole. Im actually suprised at the amount of people who say theres no way to get more performance out of these things, I felt my gains were pretty good for bolt ons. Id buy another one to be honest if I came across another garage queen with low miles like mine was.

Im now in the 60's, no more rev limiter and a lot more power. Fans come on sooner and the bike just overall runs better. Best mod ive done so far.
